finally I moved to United Community Bank

built a house in 1997. My favorite
hobbies are attending my kids’
activities and sporting events, reading,
and camping.
Remembrance of a favorite class,
teacher, or PHS experience:
I had way too much fun in high
school to list only a few of my favorite
experiences. I do have fond memories of
Accounting Class with Mr. Hauer and
Band.

Family:
I married David Wandro in May, 1992. We
have 3 daughters; Olivia age 10, Ellen
age 7 and Genevieve age 6. We are
expecting a baby boy on July 30th.
What have I been
up to?
After HS I attended Moorhead State
University and received a BS in Business
Admin. I worked for Northwestern Mutual
Life in Fargo until 1990. I then moved
to the Minneapolis/St Paul area to take
a position with State Farm Insurance in
their Claim Department. I worked in
several State Farm offices in the metro
area.
In 1998, David and I
decided we were tired of the “big city
life”. He accepted a position with
Farmland Insurance, in Northeast Iowa,
as a Commercial Sales Agent. We moved to
his hometown and I became the “trailing
spouse”. I transferred with State Farm
and worked claims in Iowa until last
June. I am now a Domestic Engineer AKA
stay at home mom.
We keep very busy
with our kids activities, we enjoy
golfing and boating. Last year we moved
to a rural development with a couple of
acres to call our own and now we are
trying to master flower and vegetable
gardening…weed control seems to be a
major factor so we’re looking for any
great advice anyone has!
Favorite HS
memories:
Cyndy, glad you mentioned Mr. Hauer’s
Accounting Class…that was a good one!
There are many good times that come to
mind…Blue Horizon Dances, “The River”,
fish house parties, and driving Dad’s
car on some not so well maintained
roads. Unfortunately, most of the
memories don’t have much to do with
academics!! A thought…We can only hope
our kids are not half as rowdy as we
were…however; if they are, we will
know what they are up to!!
20 year wishes:
Unfortunately, since I’m expecting our
baby any day now, I won’t be able to
see all of you at the reunion…just no
way to lose that baby fat in a week!! Ha
Ha! However, I wish all of you the very
best…health, happiness and prosperity.
And, I hope to see you all at the next
reunion! Enjoy and stay out of
trouble!!!

Kids: Chesney 4.5 yrs, Macray 4
months
I graduated from
Moorhead State University in 1989 with a
teaching degree in special education. I
moved to the Cities to find a job and
ended up at a middle school in
Burnsville working with kids that had
mild to moderate handicaps.
In the 1995 I met
Candida at the WE Fest ( I think it was
the cowboy hat). She moved to the cities
and found a job teaching science at a
suburban high school. We were married in
1998. In 1999 Candida and I decided we
were tired of the cities, the traffic
and having to keep a loaded gun by the
bed. We moved to Grand Rapids where we
both found teaching jobs at the high
school. Candida is teaching biology and
I am currently working with students
that are behaviorally challenged.
Everyone says it's a perfect fit for me,
I'm not sure what that is supposed to
mean and I am also coaching track and
football.
We found a
fixer-upper house on Lake Pokegama, even
though I am unable to fix anything. We
have done a ton of remodeling and are
finished for awhile. Now we are both
enjoying our summers off, doing a lot
relaxing, and enjoying our new son. I am
told he looks a lot like me, I don't
know if that's good or not. Chesney is
constantly asking me to go swimming or
fishing. My mom says she's a lot like me
and that paybacks are a b#@*$! Last
winter we bought an ice fishing house
that we spend a lot of time in, but the
parties aren't like they used to be,
except when Dan is visiting.
My memories of
high school:
This was
tough for me because there were so many.
Ice fishing on Devil's Lake, water
skiing at Scott's, Dan's cabin, sneaking
out and crusin around, except for the
flat tire, and Stubbs. At school Mr.
Pettit's class sticks out in my mind due
to the whipper snappers and watching
Helen Keller 99 times while he slept. I
did apologize to him for all us when he
came to my graduation party. By the way
Shawn, Mr. Schaffer scared the hell out
of me that's why I left you to die.
I hope everyone is
doing well and I'm looking forward to
seeing you all next week.
