So much to tell. Been busy. I have 5 gorgeous children; Kaila 19, Kathlin (1992), Koel 11, Kode 9, and Kore ("Kor-ee") 8. I am currently and plan to stay single. Kaila completed her first year of college this year at Ausburg Business College. (I couldn't wait for the nest to empty, but now I want it all full again.) Kathlin died 12 hours before she was delivered from Down's Syndrome. (Some of you may remember for four years I worked with Ruth Cole and the special ed dept. for my phy ed credit. The first two years for credit, then my Junior and Senior year by choice. I did it in lieu of study hall because I loved it so much. Never dreamt I would one day have "one" of my own. But thats ok; God had a plan.) She would have been 16 this coming fall. My first marriage did not survive the death of our daughter. She lays to rest a mile from my home. I remarried and had the boys. Then Jacob, my step son of 9 years was killed just after his 14th birthday in a gun accident in 2003. We tried to hold it together but couldn't and 3 years later I was divorced again after 13 years with husband number two. My boys, unlike their mother (at least in high school) are extremely outgoing and athletic, excelling in wrestling starting in Kindergarten. They have made it to districts and regions every year and missed "state" by points. I cant count how many times I wished we lived in the Perham school district and John was still the coach. I remember sending our guys off down the halls, the PHS Jackets warm up routine, and the battle of the bands at games and meets. The boys play all the sports quite well and I am very, very proud of them. All of my children in fact.
I was in the medical field for over 15 years. I was a nurse specializing in gerontology, various based dementia of the elderly, and hospice. On the side, I was a medical equipment specialist fitting people for adaptive needs both physically and physiologically. I was also an EMT for Ambulance and a CPR instructor for the American Heart Assoc. I taught community classes as well as re-certified emergency rescue personnel including fellow nurses, doctors, EMT's, firefighters, and police. After the death of two children, my father at age 53, and over 150 patients during my career, I decided I needed to be with the living for a while. I gave up nursing in 2006 and now work in the food industry. No nights, weekends, holidays, mandated rotating shifts, and the like. I miss the money but this is what I need to do for the time being.
I stay busy with my family. We love the lake, boating, camping, and I am the most "psycho" Mom in the stands. (I'm not mean, just intense. And I was so quiet in high school!) When I was married we traveled abroad every year to the Caribbean or Mexico. (I miss that!!) And I am very active in my community and church. I have one niece by my sister, Dr. Penni Pier and her husband who I wish I saw more of, and (most importantly) my daughter promised I would NOT be a grandmother for a long time yet!! She is the same age now as when I had her. Thank the Lord she is smarter than me!
My fondest memory of PHS and ALL my classmates:
Listen to the song "It was 19.. something." That was US!! Didn't we look cheezy!? I wouldn't trade those days for nothing....It was 1980 something. (1988!!) See you in July.

Well, to say the least, life has been busy since graduating 20 years ago. In August 1988 after graduation, I went to Germany to spend a year as an exchange student - what a wonderful experience! Upon returning home, I attended college at Moorhead State University from 1989-1993, majoring in Chemistry and German. In 1993 I entered medical school through the University of Minnesota, graduating from there in 1997. From 1997-2000, I was in my residency training in Fargo, ND. After residency, I spent the next 4 years back in Perham, working at MeritCare Clinic and the Perham Hospital.
In 2003 I met my husband Robb, and we married in 2004. This brought me down to the Twin Cities to live, as he has a daughter, Jessica (9). Robb is a chiropractor, working in Minneapolis, and is a wonderful man! We now have a beautiful daughter of our own, Emily (2), and another child on the way (due in September). I'm working full-time for Park Nicollet Clinic in Eagan as a Family Practice Physician. Between work and family, life has a pretty fast pace at times. We make it up north as often as possible to visit Grandpa and Grandma (my parents still live in Perham), and my daughter just loves it there! We enjoy traveling (when able), hunting, fishing and camping; and just spending time as a family.
