Family/Work/Personal Highlights:
Well, what have I been doing for the last twenty years? I went to Moorhead Statue University for entirely too long and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History. In the middle of that, Wendy B. and I got married. (August 12, 1989 to be precise) I actually bucked the trend and actually worked in my field for a year. I worked at the Heritage/Hjemkomst Interpretive Center as their Education Coordinator (the same job that Traci Ackling had. I actually had the honor of handing out the first Traci Ackling award to one of our volunteers that year) After that, I puttered around for a couple of years, finally ending up working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Dakota at one of their computer help desks. That led me into a career in the IT field. In June, 1999, I moved the family down to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as IT jobs were a lot more plentiful down there. I worked for an IT consulting firm called Alternative Resources Corporation for a couple of years in a variety of positions. In April, 2002, I joined Land O’ Lakes, Inc. as an Analyst for their IT Help Desk. I have been there ever since.

On the home front, Wendy and I divorced in March, 2001 but not before having two incredible kids, my daughter Allie and son Mackenzie. They are my heart and soul and though they live up in Fergus and I live down here in Savage, I try to see them every night online and get up there to see them in person at least a couple of times a month and have a big summer vacation every year. This year, it was California!

Finally, in honor of our 20 year reunion (not really but it sounds good) I’m going back to school! In September, I start work on my Master’s Degree in History at St. Cloud State University. My goal is to go on and FINALLY earn my PhD and teach at the college level.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion, especially my buds, Dan Lee, Shawn Hoppe, and HOPEFULLY (You’d better get your butt up here for this one) Jason Hein. See you all soon!
