The man who keeps me grounded: Dan Bormann (10 years)
The ones who set me free: daughter Whitney (age 9) and a son Baylee Boone (age 2)
Since graduation, I have tried various forms of education and in many different areas. I worked in every field from medical to human relations (bartending.) I ended up working for the Perham School District from 1991-2000. During those years with the school, I also worked part-time at the Wildgoose in Perham where I found my niche and fell in love with merchandising, display and home decorating.
For the past 4-5 years I have been putting my certification as Visual Coordinator to use at The Quiet Cricket in Vergas, MN. The Quiet Cricket is a gift and home décor store with a coffee shop that carries everything from gifts to furniture and is owned by a dear friend of mine. I get to go to work every day to great coffee, good music and wonderful art. Until I have my own decorating business, I truly love my job and will stay living in Perham and working in Vergas. (When I retire
I want an art gallery in Santa Fe.)
My husband Dan and I have been blissfully married for 10 years. Dan and I enjoy the simple things of life together
like travel, good guacamole and an ice cold beer. We have two children together who keep us very busy. Whitney is an aspiring gymnast with a free spirit that will be entering the fourth grade this fall and then theres our Baylee Boone. He is a kind hearted and hilarious yet stubborn soul that will hopefully be interested in potty training sometime this year! I also have two step-sons: Tyler will be a senior at Concordia this year and Brock will be a Junior attending DL high school.
We have many things going on the weekend of the reunion but hopefully well be able to attend sometime Saturday evening.
I wish you all well!
