I did complete Tech School in Wadena to do Medical Secretary work but got a job working at the telephone company in Perham instead. I worked there for 17 years. I was married to Mark Strickland from 1986 to 2000. We had a beautiful daughter in 1993, Karly. Karly and I moved to Princeton in 2002.  A great guy named Mike Specht finally took me away from Perham. I still really miss my family and friends in Perham but we are busy and happy.  Mike has 5 kids (Alyssa-19, Tanya-17, Tom-15, Michael-13, Mark-11) that don’t live with us all the time but keep us busy!!! I work for a telephone company in Princeton answering trouble calls and trying to keep the Technicians organized.
Remembrance of a favorite class, teacher, or PHS experience:
MEMORIES….where to start!!!!  Chearleading, going to Perham Pirates games, the fair, UNO cards, going to the Creamery for lunch, the Quaz mobile.  Mrs. Bahr, Mr. Melgard, Buddy Johnson, Guppy & Piranha…singing the “comet song” in Mr. Spencer’s class and having Mr. Drummond walk in….let’s face it…we weren’t’ his favorite!!!!  The dreaded 5%!!!!!

Lived in Fargo/Moorhead, Alexandria, and then St. Cloud…Graduated from SCSU in 1995 with a BA in Earth Science (Geology)…Attended graduate school at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI…Met my future bride (Michelle) and married her one year later in November of ’97…Our first son (Sam) was born in June of ’99…I broke my neck in two places and sustained a knee injury in August of ’00…Ran my first marathon in October of ’01…Ben was born December of ’02…Ran Grandma’s Marathon in June of ’03…I’m currently training for the Grand Rapids Marathon…I’m working a lot, spending time with the family, and working on the house.

I still follow the PHS track and cross-country teams…Band, Pep Band, and The Stingers were great…Driving around Perham for hours after football and basketball games…Snowball fights from cars…thinking we were bad-asses even though we weren’t…summer softball…The Perham Drive-in (RIP)…having friends out the farm…midnight basketball.
