Hey all. I have been reading the bios and thought I wouldn't be fair to read and not write, so I will add mine.
Following high school, I attended the U of M to pursue a degree in Physics. I spent three years there and realized I was tired of the hustle and bustle of a big college, so I transferred to NDSU, where I completed my degree in 1988. I then moved to the Twin Cities and worked some various odd jobs for about 4 years not really knowing what to do with my life.
I met my wife Deb while volunteering with the youth group at the church I attended. She was one of the youth pastors. Go figure that I would volunteer with the youth and marry the pastor. We were married in 1992 which is the same year I began working for the company I am still employed with. I work in highway construction. I started out working in a sign shop and have now been a project manager and estimator for the past 5 years. During the last three years, I have had the opportunity to participate in the construction of the Light Rail Transit line in the twin cities where I served as a utility engineer overseeing all of the private utility relocations and the construction of the underground utilities necessary for the project. What a learning experience. The company I work for has treated me great and has given me so many opportunities to advance. I would not mind retiring there. The company is family owned and continues to grow, getting heavily involved in the design-build environment. The various projects that I have had the opportunity to be a part of have taught me much about myself and life.
My wife and I had our first child in '94, Rebekah. She is now 10 and is very active in sports - she loves basketball (my wife played college ball and currently coaches the high school girls team at the christian academy that our children attend). We decided to have a second child and felt that would be all we wanted, but were graced with the bonus package - twins, a boy and a girl, Isaiah and Leah in '96. All of our children are wonderful. I wouldn't change the life experiences I have had with them for anything. Isaiah is just getting started in Little League baseball and loves it. Leah is not sports-minded at all although she is enjoying soccer camp this summer. She has an amazing attention to fine detail. All three are very outgoing and have many friends that we can hardly keep up with.
The company that I work for has provided us a stable enough life and income that my wife has had the privilege of staying home with our children up til now. Currenlty, our children's school has offered her a physical education teaching position. She is very excited about this and seems to fit well with her and with the travels she goes through daily for our children. Besides working, being a dad and constantly doing projects on our 50+ year old house, I have continued to volunteer with junior high students for the past 8 or so years at a couple of different churches that we have attended. Somehow, I think I am kidding myself that by spending time with junior highers I can pretend I am still young. Seriously though, I have gained much by the time I have spent serving kids.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. I will be attending alone as my wife is staying behind to cover the numerous activities are children have going as well as some graduation parties. I have noticed how many of you are near or in the Twin Cities. We too, still reside there.
Address and emails are listed below.
See most of you soon. For those of you that won't be attending, I will miss not having the chance to catch up. Take Care.

After I left PHS , I wandered around for awhile, did some touring on the cycle, got in some scrapes, etc. In 1986 I attended Wadena Vo-tech in the Parts Specialist program, I got married and went on to start a junk yard near Hewitt, where I did auto repair and sold parts for a number of years. In 1992 I got a divorce and moved back to the Perham area where I reunited with Tammy Boucher and worked at various repair shops and Tammy and I were married. I have three children from my first marriage, Bradley 16, Lily 14, Shawna 11, and Tammy and I have two boys, Aaron 9, and Anthony 3. I have been clean and sober now for more than sixteen years and we have now started a Towing and Repair business of our own. I'm glad to have my children back here in Perham. God Bless America!!!

After high school I went to NDSU, for 2 1/2 years to study Architecture. I decided I need a break from school and enlisted in the US Army. I spent 2 years in Armor, stationed in Kentucky, Kansas & Germany. Once my enlistment was up I went back to NDSU in the fall of 1989, and received a BS In Public History in 1992.
I have been married for nearly 12 years. I meet my wife, Marjorie, at NDSU in 1989. She gradated in 1990 with a degree in Agriculture. She spent the next year traveling/ Working in New Zeeland. We married in September of 1992.
We bought a house close to Dent. I had joined the family business of D & E Enterprises. Much has changed with the business these last 12 years. Currently, our custom cabinet shop makes displays for the retail industry. We have shipped product to all 50 states, Europe, Central America and the Middle East. My father and I share a patent on the shelving that we use.
In 1999, we diversified into building Ice Fishing Houses called Trophy Fishouses. This past winter our fish houses were featured in the New York Times, and also on National Public Radio. In 2000, we diversified again in to the trailer industry. Currently I am the local authorized dealer for H&H, Midso & Felling Trailers. We also build a small retro camper called a Teardrop Camper and turn cargo trailers into Toy Haulers.
My wonderful wife, went back to school in 1998 to finish her teaching degree. Currently she is employed by Perham Memorial Hospital and Home and also by the New York School District. This past spring she was recognized as "Care Giver of the Year for Section C". Section C in Minnesota comprises of 43 nursing homes. Marjorie loves to garden and landscape. Our house we designed/built in 1999 is looking very good with all of her hard work in the gardens, and with the landscape. She is teaching our children how to be good gardeners, which is a good thing since I am not.
We have 4 children. Alex is 8 and is starting baseball this year. Jenna is 6, and is the big helper around the house. Aaron is 4, and likes trucks and building things. Hailey is 2, and she is sweet.

Well, I too can not believe that it has been twenty years since graduating from PHS; I really don't feel that old! I have enjoyed reading everyone's bios; it's fun to hear what everyone has been up to all these years.
Well after graduation I moved to Minneapolis and attended college for four years; then in 1988 I took the plunge into my first real life adventure. I packed up my little compact car with all my earthly belongings and moved to southern California; I didn't know a soul and I didn't have a job but I wanted to live by the ocean. I ended up in Orange County, CA - found a job and an apartment and within a year started graduate school studying psychology. I married a surfer guy in 1990 (one could say my second real life adventure), finished my master's degree in psychology in 1992, moved back to Minneapolis in late 1994 (I loved the ocean but missed the four seasons) and then divorced in 1997.
My divorce was a real turning point for me and left me thinking about many of the unfulfilled dreams that I had for my life. One of those dreams was to work and live abroad. So in 1998, after saving a lot of vacation time I took two months and went to Ukraine to do some volunteer work in the mental health field; then in 2000 I had the incredible opportunity through my church to spend some time in Kenya and Uganda volunteering in an AIDS project. I was completely humbled at the level of joy that people there had despite the incredible loss of life. Also in 2000 I started dating this incredible man but more about that later. Then in the summer of 2001 I took a big plunge - I quit a stable but unsatisfying job and moved to Sri Lanka to work in a refugee camp with an organization called Doctors Without Borders. I could spend hours writing about all the things I learned from that experience but to sum it up briefly it was a once in a lifetime and life-altering opportunity -- I have so much to be grateful for in my life. That incredible man that I mentioned earlier supported me and my dream with daily email and even a visit and then he was waiting for me at the airport when I got home.
When I got back to Minnesota I started working at an organization called The Center for Victims of Torture (now let me tell you that is a real conversation stopper when people ask "what do you do?") Due to all the cutbacks in the nonprofit world I was recently laid off from that job. And that incredible man proposed to me on Valentine's Day 2003 and we married last September; the only child we have is the four-legged feline type but she is the cutest cat you have ever seen! I am looking forward to a summer with some time off and home remodeling. I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

What can I say...I sure don't feel like it's been 20 years since graduation. Sometimes, quite often actually, my body does remind me that I'm not as young as I chose to believe but I do what I can to ignore it. A few surgeries to repair my broken bones and countless weeks on crutches or in slings can be hard to ignore though. Imagine, ME on crutches.
After graduation I spent 2 yrs at FFCC then moved on to a pretty useless year at SCSU. I moved to NYC and spent 2 yrs being a nanny (1987-1989) then moved home to continue school and because my sister Paula was getting married. My experience in NY was one I'll never forget. I headed to Bemidji for 2 yrs then moved to the Cities to nanny again. I spent 5 yrs doing that before Bemidji called my name again. I NEVER thought I'd move back there after my 1st experience there.
I enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Assisting program and spent 3 yrs with that before I got tired of the politics involved...the program only lasted another year or two because it was such a mess. I ended up in a relationship for 5 yrs and we lived just south of town. It was so nice to look out the window and see the wildlife looking right back at you. I am now back down in the Cities and enjoying every minute of it. I am working at a phisical therepy center now and enjoy working with my coworkers. Plus I will now be a patient. There are things I do miss about living so far north but not enough for me to move back. My friends guarentee my having to go back up there at least during the winter months because they are holding my snowmobile as hostage.
I have not married as of yet or had any kids. Two things that I would like to happen since I am not getting any younger. I am an Auntie to Benjamin (4) and Eleanor(1) by Paula and her husband Jim. They live in Lino Lakes about 2 miles from Tina and her husband. I can say that Tina's daughter Megan IS Tina cloned!! My sister Kim moved back from Sacramento about 1 1/2 yrs ago after 12 yrs on the west coast. We went to the 1st 2 Wolves/Kings playoff games and cheered for different teams. But we got to send the Kings home.
Kim bought a house in St. Paul and is TRYING to get used to the MN winters again. Mary is living downtown St. Paul. My parents have moved back to their hometown of Little Falls and are living in Dad's childhood home. So...this will be my 1st trip back to Perham in about 3yrs!! Dad retired after my Mom had a brain anyerusm while visting Kim in Sacremento about 5-6yrs ago. (Mom is fully recovered). At least Dad CLAIMS to have retired...he still subs in LF and works with homebound kids. He's also very active with the Speech & Drama club yet.
I enjoyed playing co-ed softball while in Bemidji, and camping is another adventure I enjoy. I also found out how much fun snowmobiling is and what a great stess reliever it is.
I am still as gracefull as always...I just had a good wipeout 2 days ago while rollerblading with Kim and sprained my knee pretty bad. I at least got a new set of crutches out of the deal, my old ones were looking pretty sorry. I'm hoping to be able to show up at the reunion without the knee brace.
My life doesn't seem to have had much excitement but, it has been one heck of a learning experince and I wouldn't trade any of my life experiences, good or bad for anything.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
