Hello everyone.   One of the residents that I care for told me that a 20 year class reunion isn't so bad because two years ago her class celebrated their 60th class reunion.   Makes us all feel a bit younger now doesn't it.

I moved to St. Louis Park summer of 1984.   Graduated from Mpls. Community College in 1987 with an associate of arts degree.   Took a year off to have my son Tyler.  Tina Bade (Hechtel) was my coach and helped me through that transition in my life.  I went back to school and graduated from St. Mary's College of St. Catherine in 1990 with an associate of science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program.  I work in a health care facility with many different people and their challenges.   It is very rewarding.  I love the diversity of the people I care for.  Some do not even speak English but smiles and hugs are universal and so we are able to work together.  While attending a continuing ed course I ran into Sharon Johnson (Davalos).  It was so fun to run into a class mate and know that it is truely a small world.

In 1995 my mother became ill and passed away and two years later my father.  Those were some difficult times.   So  if you are lucky enough to have your parents then give them a hug just because you can.

In 2002 I was in a wedding in Perham and met Ron.  We have been dating since.    Yes I have lived in the cities for 20 years and am dating a man from Perham.  Ironic isn't it.   Maybe some day I will move back, time will tell.

Currently Tyler and I are living in Excelsior.   It is west of the cities but not far.   Lake Minnetonka is about 3 miles from us.   Tyler will be a junior next year at Minnetonka High School.  He has kept me busy over the years with cub scouts, basketball, baseball, football, soccer and track.  So far the teenage years have not been bad.  I really enjoy Tyler and his friends.

I look forward to seeing all of you this weekend.   I to have enjoyed reading the bio's.  Keep them coming.

After Perham High School, I graduated from St. Cloud Business College and worked as a court reporter in Sarasota, FL, then in Las Vegas, NV where I took depositions and court proceedings for the Clark County Superior Court. I met my future husband, an Air Force helicopter pilot, in Las Vegas and I eventually moved to Washington, D.C. after his assignment to Andrews AFB. There, I had hoped to be a court reporter for Congress or the US Senate, but due to a hiring freeze I was able to work for NASA. At NASA, I worked in the STS (space shuttle), space station, and safety offices. Later, we moved to Albuquerque, NM where I began working on my bachelor's degree. In 1993, I lost my mother to cancer. My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs where I finished my bachelor of science degree in biology at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. After graduation, I worked as a product representative for Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. My husband was transferred to Great Falls, MT where he became commander of the 40th Helicopter Flight at Malmstrom AFB. I worked briefly at a research lab as a technician, then as an associate for my brother's consulting firm, Seifert and Associates, which reviews pharmaceutical products for major drug corporations. I currently live in Dunkirk, Maryland and have just finished my second year of pharmacy school at the University of Maryland and hope to become a doctor of pharmacy in two more years. My father, Don Seifert, is retired from the Perham High School Administration and he resides in Dent. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the reunion this year due to my summer internships. Best wishes to all at the reunion!!

Jeff was giving me some guff about my bio not being done yet so I guess I've procrastinated enough to be true to character and will now try to get this written. In addition to being a world-class procrastinator I'm also a motivational speaker, so with that said, do you all realize we're twice as old (and then some) as we were when we graduated! On that positive note, a little information on what I've been up to for the past 20 years. I left for the Army in the fall after we graduated where I spent four years in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. It turns out that was the most stable time of my adult life. After the Army I went to MSU in Moorhead for a couple of years where I met my wife Sue, we were married in 1990. A few months after that she joined the Army (I didn't think I was that hard to live with!) and I volunteered for Desert Storm. I was mobilized and sent to the desert ..in California. From there I bounced all over the country for the next 5-6 years doing things in the military (sometimes with Sue, sometimes not) but finally we settled in Colorado and spent enough time together to where we were able to have kids. Our oldest is Jenna, age 10, followed by Garrett, age 5 and the youngest is Larissa, age 3. I've had a few jobs other than the military over the past 20 years but they've never held my interest for very long. In 2001 we moved back to Minnesota (Halstad, never heard of it? Me either, until I moved there) but I ended up actually living in Afghanistan instead of Minnesota for most of 2002. We moved to Pelican Rapids last fall, we plan on staying here as a permanent residence even if (when) I have to leave again. I still have a few years to go until I'm able to retire from the military, so my life as a vagabond isn't over yet but this will offer some stability for my family which they've had little of over the years. I look forward to seeing all of you who make it to the reunion and to those who aren't able to be there, I hope to see you soon!

Well has it really been 20 years? Where do I start? I have two children April 19 (Senior at Concordia College in Moorhead) and MacKenzie 12 (soon entering the 7th grade at Bemidji Middle School). We live on a small lake called Shanti Lake near Lake George on a 160 acre plot. For those of you who pick Blueberries it is known as the Blueberry Capitol of Minnesota. We have 2 dogs, Cajun a black lab and Bear a golden lab. We have lived in this area for about 2 years now. It has been a big change for us not being as close to family and friends. I worked for Ottertail Power Company in Fergus Falls for about 3 years in the early 90's and then accepted a job at American Federal Bank as Manager of their Customer Service Department thereafter. I worked there up until 1997 and decided to further my career as an Insurance Agent for AM Pribbernow Ins also located in Fergus Falls. In December of 2001 I married a gentlemen and we relocated to the Bemidji Area. Long story but I am currently going through a divorce but have decided to remain in this area. I currently work for a chain of Convenience Stores as a Manager and Bookkeeper. I have accepted a position as an Insurance Agent for an Independent Insurance Agent here in Bemidji that I have decided to start as of Sept. 1st. My current employment is extremely flexible. I choose my own hours and even work at home if I choose. With summer coming I thought fall would be a good time to start my new employment.

My daughter April will graduate from Concordia College with a 4 year degree at age 20 with a GPA of 3.87. She is pursuing her Law Degree and will enter Law School within the next year. She is hoping to attend the University of Minnesota. She is very goal orientated and I am very proud of her. This is the first summer that she will not be home. She currently works for the Olive Garden in Moorhead and is interning for the Public Defenders Office in Cass County. So if any of you ever go out to dinner there just look for a 19 year old waitress that looks exactly like me.

MacKenzie, now almost 12, is a very happy little "Tom Boy" who loves anything that has a motor. She enjoys 4 wheeling, water sports, snow skiing and wants a dirt bike for her birthday. She would like to compete and start racing. I am scared to death. She on the other hand doesn't look anything like me. There isn't one attribute about her that I can claim. Her father gets all the credit.

Activities that we enjoy are water skiing, 4 wheeling, pontooning, baiting bear, fishing, feeding the deer and just enjoying life in general. I look forward to seeing everyone and touching on all those old memories that we once shared growing up. For those of you who cannot attend we will miss not seeing you but you will be in our hearts. Below I have listed contact information for me. Hope all is well with everyone and I will look forward to seeing you on June 12th.

Stigman, Jim
Wow!  Twenty years!  That's not quite registering for me.  Could I be in denial?

I've really enjoyed reading the bios on this site.  Now I guess it's my turn.  I'm sure you'll appreciate the simplified version:

  • After one year loading thousands of boxes of potato chips into semi-trailers at Barrel 'O Fun, I spent a year at Normandale Community College, only to work part-time loading, you guessed it, trucks.
  • I remember completing one of those tests in high school that give you an idea for which type of career you would be best suited.  Mine said bulldozer driver.  With all due respect to bulldozer drivers everywhere (my grandpa Don was one of the best), I didn't feel called in this direction.  A year at Normandale Community College told me I wasn't called to be an accountant either.
  • I headed off to St. Cloud State University in 1986 and picked up a degree in Public Administration.  I had a ball at SCSU and became heavily involved in student government, serving as President my senior year.  During these years I made several trips to St. Paul and Washington, D.C. lobbying for student concerns and was elected as the chair of an organization that represented all Minnesota college students, both public and private.
  • After college, I worked in the legislative department of the League of Minnesota Cities in St. Paul for a year.
  • In 1992, I returned to St. Cloud to serve as Administrative Aide to the Mayor, the office I interned in my senior year.  I served as "vice Mayor" for four years (Michael J. Fox eat your heart out).
  • In 1996, I returned to SCSU to serve as Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.  (The downside: Now everybody wants me to help them raise money.)
  • Between the job with the Mayor and the job at SCSU, I had a short-lived marriage, an experience that ended up being a spiritual wake-up call.  In 1998, after years of seeking out my true identity, I finally found it in the most interesting place: Jesus Christ.
  • In 1998, I married Katrina, the love of my life!  We have two children, Madeline Kate (4 1/2) and Ethan James (2 1/2).  We live in St. Cloud, a place I doubt we will ever leave.  Katrina's dad and I have a successful business together, started in September 2001 (I guess timing isn't everything), specializing in retirement income planning, estate planning, real estate exchanges, and general financial planning.  I lead the worship team at our church (write some songs on the side), serve on various community boards/committees, help the Republican party when I get a chance, etc.
  • I'm sure each of you could look to a defining moment (or moments) in your life.  Something that changed your perspective completely and irrevocably.  But it isn't until your newfound perspective is tested that you really appreciate that perspective.  My commitment to Christ was the defining moment in my life.  But my wife Katrina's battle with breast cancer made my faith real.  Katrina was first diagnosed in September 2000.  Four battles with the big "C" in as many years has brought us to a complete dependence on our Creator, not to mention a new appreciation for our marriage, our kids, our friends, and our families.

See you soon!

Twenty years to date – here goes nothing!  After high school, I attended Southwest State University, in Marshall, MN, graduating with a major in Accounting.  While going to college, I lived in Pipestone, MN and worked at Hardee’s.  I made my way up to be an Assistant Manager.  At Hardee’s, I met my husband, Allan aka Mick, – we both worked there.  In April of 1989, I got a job as an accountant for Trail’s Best in Chandler, MN.  They manufactured frozen beef patties and meat snack sticks.  I worked there for 14 years and made my way up to be the Controller.  The company was sold to Sara Lee in 2001 and due to restructuring I was let go in September 2003.  Going back into the job market after 14 years was not fun or easy.  On March 1, of this year, I started working for EXOL, an ethanol plant, by Albert Lea, MN.  I am the Controller.  My family and I (less our pets) have officially moved from Pipestone, MN to Albert Lea and we like it.  There are more trees on this side of the state.

During my twenties, I played a lot of league softball.  At one time I was on three teams, busy, but fun.  Mick and I played league darts for 6 years.  The women’s team I was on won the rights to go to the National tournament 2 years in a row.  Needless to say I couldn’t go either time – once I was pregnant and the other time conflicted with work.  I have also been bowling on a league for 17 years and was the City bowling association President for 5 years, prior to moving to Albert Lea.  In 1992, while I was working in Chandler, a tornado hit the town and the place I was working at.  The car I had at the time was called a GEO “Storm”.  How appropriate, because it was totaled due to the tornado.  From that day on, I have not taken tornado warnings lightly.

Moving into my thirties, I got married and had a family.  This decade is currently about kids.  We have two girls, Nicole, who is 7 going on 14, and Abigail, who is 3 going on 7.  Nicole is in 2nd grade and the tallest in her class, 4’ 8”.  She likes to play basketball and volleyball with her family, but is shy with others.  She loves music, fixing hair, and makeup.  One day Nicole wants to move to CA, play basketball, fix hair, and sing - then she can support the rest of her family.  Abigail is only 3, but she talks and asks questions like there is no tomorrow!  She is a very enjoyable child and outgoing – will talk to anyone who will listen.  At times, Abby can be a handful with lots of attitude, but we still love her.  We are currently living in an apartment, so our pets are farmed out until we find a house.  We have a rottweiler house dog named Daisy and a cat named Bonkers.  They both just turned one year old.  As a family we like to go camping, spend time at West Battle lake (my mom has a lot there), bike ride, and go to the park (since we currently have no yard to play in).  We all like to be outside.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone and finding out what everyone has been up to.  Till later.

Sweere, Scott
Hmmm...Well to be honest with you all, the first six to eight years out of school were spent for the most part trying to figure out who Scott Sweere really was. I thought I might be able to make a living water skiing and getting tan. I actually spent most of that time working for the family, my own not the, you know, "family", as so many of the parents in town may have thought. Yeah sure, I raised a little cain after school but who didn't. The sad part about being in Perham until "91" is that my friends kept getting younger and younger. You all got married so fast!
I had finally had enough and left town, went to the big city, worked various jobs that never seemed to fulfill me. Even owned several businesses of my own. The long and short of that is I worked a lot of hours with little reward.
I met my wife, Angie, then in 91, but she wouldn't have anything to do with me, so in 92 I moved to South Dakota. I loved it there. Six months later Angie realized that she couldn't stand to be without me and moved out there too. In 94 the two of us packed up and went back to work with my family except the family moved to Ukraine, you know just south of Russia. Spent several years there until we thought enough was enough and moved back to South Dakota. We thought we should probably get married and did just that.
We have been living in Wisconsin now for the last six years. We have a beautiful home that my wife and I designed and built on forty acres. We have two daughters, Isabel who is five and Anna who is two. They are such a blessing. Angie stays at home now with them (she's an accountant by trade) and I"m out bringing home the bacon. I'm in sales, anyone surprised by that? I've been with the same company for three years now. Not a long time but I think its home for awhile.
Twenty years, in a page.
