What I have been doing for 20 years is beyond me. Time flew by. I can't remember it all. First I went on to College at Fergus Falls Community College and then continued at Moorhead State College. Majored in Social Work and minor in Special Education. After graduating I worked for a short time in Parkers Prairie, Mn, A year I would like to forget. Then moved back to Perham for a short time, moved to Fargo, ND and entered a religious Community to become a nun/sister. I was with the community about 7 years. When it came time for me to make the final commitment (it is a process to become a sister), I did not feel ready and decided to leave for awhile to deal with some personal issues and life experiences. I have not gone back at this point and probably will not. I value my experiences there but it was not for me in the long run. After leaving there I stayed in Fargo for awhile and then decided to move back to Perham. I love the country and lakes and being close to family. I never did get married and no kids (so I'm still looking). Actually right now I am content being single and enjoying my independence. Currently I work at the Perham nursing home as a Nursing Assistant and looking at possibly pursuing further studies in theology and counseling. I would eventually like to work in or start my own holistic center. We will see what God has in mind. (when you get to Perham, check out the new home being built, we are going more resident directed care.) In my spare time I like to spend time with my family ( my parents, a grandmother, a sister and a brother (plus other relations) all live in Perham. I now have 12 nieces and nephews which are all dear to my heart. I am enjoying the lakes for swimming, and fishing. I am involved with my church and small group activities. My most recent endeavor is doing Christian clowning and doing retreats such as Tec, Rec, Koinonia (sp) ...
Over the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to do some traveling to places such as New York (saw the twin towers before they fell), Mass, (swam in the ocean), Kentucky, (horse racing) Nebraska, Tenn, Black Hills, Medora, Canada, Peace Gardens, all over North Dakota ... I would still like to get to a few more places.
Such has been my life up to this point. I have ran into some great people from the class of 1984 and look forward to seeing many more of you at the reunion. I also keep those classmates we have lost over the years, in my memories. Take care until we meet again. Blessings

The past 20 years have been a wild ride for me. I went to the University of Minnesota, Morris and then transferred to the Twin Cities campus. I finished school at night because I went to work for an advertising agency named Campbell-Mithun-Esty. I got married in 1987 and divorced in 1993....no kids yet, only a big fat cat. I worked in the advertising business for 7 years and enjoyed it a lot because I got to travel to a lot of very neat places. I moved to Los Angeles in 1993 and began to work in the sports marketing business. I did all of Target Stores' sports marketing around the country...with major league teams and leagues and really loved it. I went to more games than a normal person probably should and eventually ran a sponsorship/sports marketing company and then landed at the Los Angeles Dodgers (who would have imagined, given my jr. groupie days of the Perham Pirates?!) I became Executive Vice President of Business Operations which basically means that I ran all of the business units of the Dodgers...everything but the players. It's a pretty weird and intense business that gets more attention than it probably deserves, but I loved every minute of it. I worked there for 6 years and recently resigned during a very high drama, high visibility ownership change. I've never taken any time off since I worked at the Perham Dairy Queen when I was 15, so I really want to take the summer off completely and spend time with my kids (more to come on them later). In the fall I will figure out my next move...maybe another team/league, maybe something completely different, or maybe I'll just retire completely....we'll see. I really enjoy the sports business and it's very gratifying (and fun) to be a woman in an industry where there really aren't many at all. But it's a really intense, competitive, time-consuming life and it is very hard to be a good parent let alone a good wife. Figuring it all out will be a very interesting process.
During all of this, I managed to find the most amazing and supportive husband. His name is David Rone and he works at Fox Sports. I'm still not sure how I lucked into finding him or how I conned him into marrying me, but he's stuck now. In the midst of working crazy hours and attending almost every game, we had two funny, wonderful kids. Alex is 4 1/2 and Sean is 21 months. They are tall and happy and bright and make every day the best day ever. My daughter, Alex, knew the words to Take Me Out to the Ballgame before she was 2 and knows almost all of the players by name and number. She is a cool kid who is very verbal and very funny. She is a really good little ballerina (although she will probably be 6"1"!), loves to swim and graduates from pre-school this weekend (which is why I cannot be at the reunion). I'm sure I'll cry like an idiot. She is so much like me ( other than the cool part and the ballerina thing) that it is scary. My son, Sean, is a loveable concussion waiting to happen. He runs from the moment he wakes up and is all boy and very big. He is sweet, joyful and funny and he has a major tumble/injury almost every day. My guess is that he'll be at least 6'6", so his dad is assuming he will be some stud athlete. (what dad doesn't think that about their son?)
We live very close to the ocean and love to go to the beach, travel all over the place, swim, visit our families in the Midwest, obviously go to sporting events, and golf. Most of all, we just love playing with the kids and hanging out with good friends drinking good wine. We love living in Los Angeles. We live in an area called Manhattan Beach and it's a very fun, casual, beachy lifestyle. We are NOT Laker fans and wanted the Timberwolves to win so badly. We went to the games in L.A. and cheered hard for MN. My dad lives in Waubun and owns a grocery store and my mom lives in Palm Desert, CA. My brother, Kyle, lives in Duluth, is married and has four awesome kids and a great job as a finance director in a big hospital.
I still see Jaana (Bauck) Bowers. She was my maid of honor (twice!!) and I was hers. I would love to be able to be in touch with others, too. Hopefully, this website will spark some of that.
That's it! Life is happy and good and crazy. Hope all of yours' are, too. I'm proud to have good ole' PHS and all of you in my history. Have a great time at the reunion!

Wow, has it really been 20 Yrs?? Man were getting old!! I don't know about the rest of you but I really do feel old!! Where do we start I'm sure we all have been so busy what do you list first?? Well I guess I'll start by saying It's not only my 20 yr Class Reunion I'll be celebrating this year but also my 20th Wedding Anniv. Yep got Married 5 months after Graduation.?? ( To Leanne Brasel)
Attended Staples Technical Institute for Two Years for Electro-Mechanical Drafting. Which in return brought me to the Twin Cities (New Brighton) where I worked @ Basic Industries for about 4-1/2 Years. While @ Basic I got The wild idea to build my own house!!(Right Tina,& Tony??) It was a true Test for a Marriage!! But we made it thru that and Started raising our Family & we reside in Andover,Mn. We have Three Children Ethan(14),Evan(12) & Eryn(11) It's kinda of scary when your 14 & 12 yr olds can look you in the Eye!!! (They all keep us busy with Sporting events, Softball,Baseball & Soccer/Dance in the Summer & Basketball in the Fall/Winter!)(Also Track & Cross Country for School!!)
I have been @ my current Employer (Brenk Bros. Inc.) ever since leaving Basic Ind., which has been about 13 Yrs Now!! They are a Precision Machine Shop in Fridley,Mn. which I have the Honor of Managing the Shipping/Receiving Dept. Had A Stint in Sales but Guess what??(I'm not a Salesmen,-don't figure!!) I'm currently remodeling the House we built to add a little bigger Kitchen/Dining Room, so Time is really a blessing between Kids Sports & Other Events as any Parent would Testify to!!! Well that pretty much Sums up about the last Twenty Yrs for me without boring you all to Death, So in closing, I would like to say to all of the Class of '84' I Believe we had an Extremely Cool Class where Everybody got along & Respected Everyone and We had Alot of Good Times and some Not so Good, so let's not Forget All of the Classmates that we have Lost!! And I hope to See as Many of you @ The Reunion as possible where we can talk about all the Good and maybe the Not so Good Times!! Thank You for The Good Times & Take Care!!
