After graduation I worked locally in Perham for Crane Johnson Lumber Company from 1979 -1981, when I decided to major in Business at Bemidji State University. I transferred to UNI my junior year & changed my major to Psychology in my senior year. I moved to Boston in 1988 and worked for the New England Deaconess Hospital's Diagnostic Radiology Department as an Office Assistant until December 1990. Concerns regarding my parent's health prompted me to move back to Iowa in 1991. I began working as the Evening Library Circulation Supervisor at PCC in 1992 and finally secured a daytime position in 1996.
I used to enjoy dancing, gardening, museums... but my primary hobby these days is trying to keep up with my six year old son, Spencer. Of late I am learning a great deal about bugs! Spencer is an expert on bugs, as well as dragons, & fairies/goblins. He has discovered that daddy is much better at raising bugs than mommy. Perhaps I should send the ant farm [cemetery] to daddy's home :-) I think I will keep the cat & the House Brownie, although from the looks of the house lately I think our Brownie has turned into a Bogart.
I have really enjoyed reading the bios and talking to old friends. I would like to thank Kris for all her efforts to organize the event. I am sure it has been a daunting task! Regrettably I will not be able to make it to the reunion but look forward to seeing pictures on the web.

I spent 18 years in Phoenix after graduating from Concordia College. I moved to the Bay area in 2000 to shake up my life. After all, I was turning 40 and still selfishly single. The move did just that, because within 4 years I got married to a great guy and had a baby. We now spend the "school year" in Tucson near my AZ family and the summer in Berkeley (Maarten's home town). I work remotely for a software company out of the Bay area.
Emma still lives at home (haha) and no empty nest in sight! Unless you consider a full day in kindergarten an empty nest ;) I wouldn't have it any other way...

Wow!! After my 1st marriage what can I say I really didn’t grow up till I was in my late 20’s, that’s when I met my soul mate, my best friend, & the love of my life. Starting over is really tuff to do. I decided to go back to school in the fall of 1985 and took up the trade of an Electrician so in order to pay for it. I joined the Navy Reserve as a Seabee. I figured I could use a adventure and boy did I get one I got activated for Desert Shield / Storm in 1990 you really get your life in order when you get thrown in to a combat zone. I came home 7 months later and moved my family out to Seattle Washington. We bought a home and lived out there for 10 years then decided with our parents getting older we should look to moving back to Minnesota to be closer to our families so when we moved to Cannon Falls in 2001 and purchased our home there. When we moved back I changed military groups and jobs I am member of the Minnesota Air National Guard and I was hired by Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Highway Signal Tech. Between my military deployments (4 months in Iraq 2004) (7 months on the Arizona/ Mexico border 2006) I am currently a supervisor with Mn-DOT and I have 5 years left in my military career. My wife and I are honey mooning now that our children have moved out and on their own but they always come home to shop for groceries and do laundry so it’s nice that they stay close. My wife has a wonderful career with the Department of Human Services. We enjoy traveling around the state in our antique Jeeps and hanging out with each other. We plan to build our retirement home on our property just outside of Perham. What I have learned in the past 30 years is that it is not important how many toys you have or what you do for a career or even how much money you have what is important is that you have good health a wonderful family and most of all your still a alive to enjoy life.
Hobbies: I enjoy restoring Jeeps in my restoration shop. Some say I have a serious addiction when it comes to my collection of Jeeps (12 in all)
